Wisdom tooth extraction – General Dentistry
Wisdom teeth extraction removes your wisdom teeth if they are impacted or infected. Wisdom teeth are the last set of teeth to develop in adults and sometimes don’t emerge in alignment with the rest of your teeth, or don’t emerge at all, becoming “impacted” between the jawbone and the gum tissue. Impacted wisdom teeth can result in swelling, pain, and infection of the tooth and surrounding gums, and can cause permanent damage to nearby teeth, gums, and bone. Wisdom teeth extraction is done right here at the Enhance Dental Centre, although we may work with a hospital on your treatment if you are having all your wisdom teeth pulled at one time, or if our dental specialists determine you are at a higher risk for complications.
